Delete your account and data
Iron Clad Strength ("the app") is a weight lifting tracker for Android and iOS. The app works without an account. An account exists only if you joined the leaderboard, shared a routine, or signed in with Google or Apple. You can delete it and its data yourself in the app in a few taps, or email us a request if you have already uninstalled.
01
Option 1: delete it yourself in the app
This is immediate and needs no request. Each optional feature has its own delete control, and you can use any or all of them.
| What you want removed | Where in the app | What it removes |
|---|---|---|
| Leaderboard entry and account | Profile › Leaderboard › Leave leaderboard & delete my data | Your handle, your scores, and the anonymous account itself, deleted from the server right away |
| A routine or program you shared | Routines › Community › Shared by you › Remove | The published routine or program, removed from the server and the gallery |
| Pro cloud backup | Profile › Cloud backup › Turn off and delete backup | The stored copy of your training data, erased from the server, not just switched off |
| Account (Google or Sign in with Apple) | Profile › Account › Delete account | The account and its server side data, including your cloud backup, leaderboard entry, and any routines or programs you published, if they exist. For Sign in with Apple this also revokes the app's access to your Apple Account |
Before deleting, you can keep a full copy of everything with Profile › Export data. Export is free, works with or without Iron Clad Pro, and does not require an account.
02
Option 2: email a deletion request
If you have already uninstalled the app, or you would rather we do it, email support@craftylambstudios.com with the subject Delete my Iron Clad account.
So we can find the right records, include whichever of these applies to you:
- the email address you signed in with (your Google address, or the address you shared with Sign in with Apple), if you signed in, and
- your leaderboard handle (the @name shown on the Ranks screen), if you joined the leaderboard.
We confirm and complete deletion within 30 days of receiving the request, and usually much sooner. We will only use the address you write from to handle the request.

What is deleted, and what is kept
| Data | On deletion |
|---|---|
| Leaderboard handle and scores | Deleted |
| Anonymous account created by the leaderboard | Deleted |
| Routines you published to the community gallery | Deleted |
| Pro cloud backup (workouts, routines, programs, records, achievements, body measurements, settings) | Deleted |
| Account link (Google or Apple) and email address | Deleted (and for Sign in with Apple, the app's access to your Apple Account is revoked) |
| Record that a free trial was used | Kept. This is a one way cryptographic hash of the email address plus the date the trial started, and nothing else. It is kept so a 14 day trial cannot be restarted by deleting and re-creating an account. It cannot be reversed into your email address and is not used for any other purpose. |
| Purchase and subscription records | Held by Google Play or the App Store, not by us. Manage or cancel a subscription in the Google Play app, or in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions on iOS. We never see or store your payment details. |
04
Data on your own device
Everything you enter in the app is stored on your device by default. Deleting an account does not touch it, and it was never uploaded unless you turned on one of the optional features above. To remove the local copy, uninstall the app, or on Android use Settings › Apps › Iron Clad › Storage › Clear data on your phone.
If Android Auto Backup is enabled on your phone, Android may hold a copy of the app's data in your personal Google Drive. That backup belongs to your Google account, not to us, and we have no access to it. You can remove it in the Google One app under Device backups. On iOS, iCloud Backup may hold a copy in your personal iCloud account, managed in Settings › Apple Account › iCloud › Manage Account Storage › Backups; we have no access to it either.
